"May Measurement Month (MMM) is a global hypertension screening initiative led by the International Society of Hypertension, aimed at raising awareness and improving detection of high blood pressure worldwide. Sri Lanka has been an active participant in this important public health campaign, contributing to national and global efforts in identifying undiagnosed hypertension and promoting cardiovascular health.Over the past phases of MMM Sri Lanka, we have successfully conducted nationwide screening programmes across multiple districts, engaging healthcare professionals, medical students, and volunteers in community-based blood pressure assessments. These activities have enabled early identification of individuals at risk and strengthened public awareness regarding the silent burden of hypertension in our population.MMM Sri Lanka continues to expand its reach through collaborative efforts with academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and dedicated volunteers. Our ongoing commitment is to support early detection, improve awareness, and contribute meaningful data towards hypertension control strategies in Sri Lanka. We thank all our partners and volunteers for their invaluable support in this mission, and we look forward to further strengthening our impact in the years ahead."
